Christmas Will Be Coming Early For West Virginia Coaches

For the West Virginia Mountaineers, the 2018 recruiting class has the potential to be a game-changer. Capitalizing on the 10-win season from 2016, the coaches from cornerbacks coach Doug Belk to receivers coach Tyron Carrier to Tony Gibson and Jake Spavital have all helped bring in recruits who are highly rated. The gem of the class is Alliquippa safety Kwantel Raines. Raines, who was courted by a host of Power 5 schools, including his home state Penn State Nittany Lions and Pittsburgh Panthers, gave an indication on Twitter that Christmas won’t be December 25th but actually December 20th. Kwantel’s decision should be considered the cherry on top of a spectacular recruiting season. Most of the

Michigans new QB battle The most critical of Jim Harbaughs tenure

The key Gamecocks to know going into Jan. 1's Outback Bowl. They buzzed in the arena. They went crazy on message boards. Crazy on Twitter. Crazy in general.  Shea Patterson-palooza hit Michigan squarely in the face on Saturday afternoon when the talented quarterback from Ole Miss, by way of IMG Academy and Toledo, rolled into the Crisler Center flanked by every Michigan football staffer Schembechler Hall has to offer.  Michigan wasn't good enough in 2017. U-M was about to enter 2018 with two scholarship quarterbacks who have very little combined experience. The demand for results surrounding Jim Harbaugh's program grows louder by the minute. Harbaugh did what he had to in acquiring the sophomore quarterback

Will Grier Among 2018 Heisman Hopefuls

The 2017 Heisman trophy was presented to Baker Mayfield this weekend and it wasn’t soon after that many publications began looking at who could be standing at the podium in a year. National publications are now getting a good look at Mountaineer signal caller Will Grier. Grier, along with Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph were the best trio of quarterbacks in the Big 12. Mayfield and Rudolph will be graduating this year but Grier, if he elects to return, could be looking at very special season. Here is what ESPN.com had to say West Virginia QB Will Grier: The junior could enter the NFL draft. After all, other than winning a Big 12 title, what does he have left to prove?

Shea wasn't the only Patterson on Michigan's campus over the weekend. No 1 offensive guard Trey Hill staying home commits to Georgia

Offensive lineman Trey Hill, the No. 27-ranked prospect in the class of 2018, has decided to stay in his home state for college. The nation's No. 1-ranked offensive guard committed to Georgia over Auburn on Monday in a recruitment that trended toward the Tigers for much of the season until a late run by the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-5, 346-pound powerful interior run-blocker also included Florida and Florida State among his finalists, but this was a battle between the two programs that clashed during the regular season and in the SEC championship game. Hill took multiple unofficial visits to Georgia and Auburn during the spring, summer and 2017 regular season. The Bulldogs began gaining momentum during
